A group of Old Alleynian FC players made the trip to East London on a wet and windy Wednesday night to appear on BT Sport's weekly wrap show, "Rugby Tonight".
After some frantic hurrying to arrive in sufficient numbers ahead of the two other amateur sides that would feature on that evening's show, OAs managed to bag a slot in the keenly contested demonstration section. OAs was tasked with standing in for the Ireland team as Austin Healy and guests Freddie Burns (Bath Rugby) and Billy Burns (Ulster) demoed how Owen Farrell was able to set up England's first try of the 6Nations, with OAs full-back Jake Smith filling the role of a late to the line Connor Murray.
With the demo done, OAs outside centre Andy Conway stepped up for the Smash-o-Meter challenge and with a textbook challenge put Old Alleynians right near the top of the show's leaderboard.
After the show, the players managed to grab few quick snaps with the Burns brothers.
Great night had by all.
